Resources & FAQs

Practical notes for purchasing, construction and community teams. Start with what is available; use the review to resolve the remaining details.

Build the community brief

The documents and decisions that establish the program's starting point.

Bring the current basis

Share the division specification, community location, plan list, elevations, schedules and approved options available for review. Identify missing or superseded documents rather than treating every file as current.

Describe the release pattern

Include approximate program volume, anticipated start or release timing, requested material and installation scopes and your purchasing and field contacts. Forecasts guide planning; confirmed releases and dates are agreed separately.

Review the plan and option matrix

Keep base scope, elevation differences and selected options distinct.

Give each option a reference

Identify the current plan revision, option name and affected opening or item. Record the changed quantity, dimensions, handing, hardware, trim or other configuration detail.

Keep available and selected separate

An approved community option is not automatically selected for every house. Carry only the selected options into that house's release and retain the approval reference for exceptions.

Check a house before release

A practical review before preparation and delivery are confirmed.

Confirm the identity and revision

Match community, phase, house or lot identifier, delivery address, plan, elevation, current revision and selected options. Connect the approved scope to the builder's PO or release reference.

Confirm the receiving plan

Agree material readiness, requested stages, receiving contact, access, storage and protection. List any included installation and other trade prerequisites. A requested date remains a request until coordinated and confirmed.

Resolve the open items

Flag missing approvals, dimensions, preparation or selections with the affected item and decision needed. Record changes against the house so they remain visible after the release review.

Report a change or correction

Keep service and exceptions attached to the house and affected item.

Send the useful information

Provide the community, house identifier, opening or item reference, a short description, photos where helpful and the field contact. Explain whether this is a changed selection, missing item, damage or installation concern.

Agree the next step

Review responsibility, required materials, approval and any additional work before a replacement or return visit is scheduled. Share site constraints and the responsible field contact so the next step can be coordinated.

Use the catalog alongside the program

Use public product information to begin the selection conversation.

Browse products, confirm selections

Use the catalog for product discovery and bring the relevant references into the community review. Confirm exact configuration, availability, physical samples and required documentation before approval.

Connect the catalog to your program

Public catalog pricing is not your contracted account pricing. Confirm your agreed program and approved account pricing with Abel. Ask about account setup and the ordering or project tools available for your division.

Questions, answered

Before the next step.

Can we start with several plans?

Yes. Send the community location, current plan mix, elevations, specification and approved options you have. Identify incomplete or missing plans so the program review can separate defined scope from open questions.

What belongs on an individual house release?

The community and house identifier, address, plan and revision, elevation, selected options, PO or release reference, included scope, receiving contact and requested timing. Confirm the selected configuration and delivery or installation sequence before preparation.

Can a community keep one standard with house-specific options?

Yes. Keep the base specification and approved option matrix together, then identify which options are selected for each house. An approved option or new community revision should not silently change an existing house release.

Does the program include installation?

Materials, preparation, delivery and installation are defined in the proposal. Agree installation scope, field readiness, other trade responsibilities and any surrounding work for the community and each release.

How are changes after release handled?

Identify the house and affected opening or item, then review the changed selection, preparation, materials and timing. Confirm approval and any additional work before the revised package or return visit is scheduled.

Is public catalog pricing our account pricing?

No. Public catalog pricing does not establish a builder's contracted pricing. Confirm the agreed program and account setup with Abel; available account access is handled separately.
